Community Meet Up Planned

Residents Invited to Participate in Neighborhood Initiative

GRAND RAPIDS—Believe 2 Become, a neighborhood initiative designed to help children succeed in school, work and life, will host its first community Meet Up at 5:30 p.m. August 26 at Ford Middle School.

Hosted by Lighthouse Communities and National Community Development Institute, the Meet Up is the first public opportunity for residents to join the Believe 2 Become initiative, which will offer programs to help close the academic achievement gap in four targeted “hope zones” in Grand Rapids.

This meeting is for residents of the central hope zone shown on the map below. Dinner and child care are free. $25 gift cards for the first 250 parents who live in the central zone. Drawings for a 42” LCD TV and two backyard BBQ parties from BackYard Grillmasters and more.
