Jaivyn Brown
Graduate, Union High School
“Focus as much as you can, and make it to class on time.”
Jaivyn Brown transferred to Union High School for his senior year. He adjusted quickly, making friends, playing basketball, and staying on track with his academics.
One of his many rewards for his hard work: walking with his fellow Class of 2011 Union seniors at Houseman Field on graduation day. “My dad is the principal at Union, so it was nice to spend my senior year at his school,” he says.
Jaivyn will go to Grand Rapids Community College for his first two years of college, then transfer to Western Michigan for a pre-med degree. He is looking forward to what the future may hold. “I know I want to pursue a career in medicine,” he says. “I’m just not sure yet which field it will be.”
