Breanna Toliver-Reed’s email address includes “MzBreezz,” an apt description of her breezy style, her artistic flair, and her appealing confidence—on and off the stage. Her first loves at Ottawa Hills High School were choir and musical theater, where she excelled in all performances.
With parents and grandparents from diverse cultures, Breanna attended a bilingual school from kindergarten through eighth grade, and is justifiably proud of her skills with the Spanish language. She is most happy that it helps her converse with her Mexican grandparents, and plans to minor in Spanish at Ferris State University.
Despite her success, Breanna wishes she had settled into her studies a bit sooner. “A lot of people goof off freshman year,” she says. “It’s hard to get scholarships based on merit. If I could do it again, I would do it better.”
