On his unique path to graduation, Michael learned lessons of perseverance, integrity and self discipline. “I had my own drive to do it,” he says. “Just a God-given gift I guess.”
Expecting Greatness
All of the adults in his life were instrumental in Corinthious’ success. “They all helped,” he says. “They stayed on me about my grades, and they made sure I knew they expected a lot.”
Working for Tomorrow
Taneka is prepared to put in the effort required to achieve her goals of graduating from college and becoming an ultrasound technician. “Nothing worthwhile comes easy,” she says. “You have to work for it.”
Writing Her Future
Charisma is happy to share her advice for success with those starting high school next year. “Work hard your freshman year.” she says. “It’s worth it because what you do in the beginning always counts in the end.”
Focusing First
Jaivyn is looking forward to what the future may hold. “I know I want to pursue a career in medicine,” he says. “I’m just not sure yet which field it will be.”
Aiming for Oscar
In the fall, Jonathan will study communications and pursue more auditions at Western Michigan University. “If people tell you no, you tell yourself yes,” he says. “Believe in your dream!”
Seeking to Serve
In August, Emny will start working toward her dream by becoming an accounting major at Grand Valley State University. “I’m just going to keep on trying,” she says. “Nothing is going to stop me.”
Reaching Higher
In the fall, Adeline will enroll in the Honors College at Michigan State University. And she feels prepared, in part because of her government teacher at Union. “He would not settle for lower standards,” she says.
Paying it Forward
As a student at Michigan State University in the fall, Whitney will eventually decide on a career in nursing, psychology or dentistry, so she can someday be a positive influence for someone else.
Maintaining Motivation
In the fall, Aquinas College will be lucky to welcome Wendy as part of the Class of 2015. She hopes to pursue a career in the medical field, and advises others to persevere to achieve their dreams.
Proving Them Wrong
Eric, the National Honor Society member, Key Club volunteer, and Ignite mentor will attend the University of Michigan in the fall to study business and engineering.
Kicking It Up
An avid outdoorsman, Jack relishes any opportunity to go hunting, climbing, running and more. “Anything outdoors or environmental,” he says, “that’s for me.”
